Bhubaneswar(Voice Of India)A student protest by the Nishchintkoili Youth Students Janata Dal against the Gopalpur student gang rape and the increasing harassment of women has been seen at the Mahapurusha Achuytananda College campus in Nemalo. Under the direction of former minister Chandrasarathi Behera, many students joined the protest under the leadership of youth leader Himanshu Das and student leader Baladebananda Das. During the BJP’s double engine government in Odisha, when gang rape was increasing, the Nishchintkoili Youth Students Janata Dal strongly opposed Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the mahapurusha Achuytananda College campus and raised various slogans against the state government. Jankiballav Mohanty, Srikant Mishra, Satya Parmanik, Vishal Kumar Dey, Nalini Kant Das, Vishal Rana, Mohammed Salim Khan, Harmohan Behera, Monalisa Jena, Punaprava Das, Elija Behera, Barsha rani Patra, Archana Das, Laxmipriya Nayak, Subhashri Das, Uday Kumar Singh, Rajesh Pujari, Om Prakash Pradhan, Vikram Swain were the prominent participants in the said program.
